China's tight grip on the publication of news on the Internet
According to Chinese media that the country's government to tighten controls on the dissemination of news websites and social networking pages.
The newspaper "China Youth" daily on Monday July 4, citing the Chinese Commission for information on the Internet that they demanded the sites that publish news of a "real and complete, objective and non-partisan," and prohibits the publication of unconfirmed information received from social networks.
The Commission emphasized that all websites must abide specifications prepare, edit and publish news, including through smart phone applications and sites "Weibo" (similar to "Twitter") and "WeChat" and the establishment of a powerful mechanism and internal control management.
She added, "it prohibits the use of rumors to write news or the use of intuition and imagination to distort the facts."
The Chinese government imposes broad restrictions on the Internet. Officials say the restrictions on the Internet, including blocking foreign websites such as the famous "Google" and "Facebook" is necessary to ensure security in the face of increasing threats such as terrorism and stop spreading rumors that cause harm.
